چکیده [English]

The aim of the present research is to compare the effect of multimedia educational games on the self-directed learning of life skills among preschool children. This study is applied in nature and employs a quasi-experimental method featuring pre-test and post-test designs with a control group. The statistical population includes preschool learners (ages 5 to 6) in District 2 of Shahryar County for the academic year 1402-03. The sampling method used was purposeful, resulting in a selection of 24 participants. To identify factors, inferential statistics and SPSS software were utilized. The findings indicated that the average scores of self-directed learning and its subscales significantly increased among the experimental group that received the training. The effect of multimedia educational games on self-directed learning of life skills in preschool children was statistically significant (p < 0.05). Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.811, indicating that approximately 81.1% of the improvement in self-directed learning among the experimental group was attributable to the use of multimedia educational games. The results suggest that multimedia educational games have a positive impact on the self-directed learning of life skills in preschool children.
