Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between Corona stress and academic isolation of the first secondary school students of Hashtbandi city. The descriptive research method is correlation type. Statistical Society includes all the male and female students of the first secondary school of Hashtbandi city (1500 people) (677 girls and 823 boys) and the statistical sample based on Morgan's table includes 306 students, so 138 girls and 168 boys was selected. The measurement tool in this research was Corona stress questionnaire by Salimi et al. (2019) and academic isolation by Daily and Gronet (2003). The reliability of the questionnaires was obtained through Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.80 for corona stress and 0.76 for academic isolation. The obtained data have been analyzed using Pearson's correlation coefficient and regression. The results show that there is a positive and significant relationship between Corona stress and academic isolation at the 99% level. Therefore, having too much stress can have a destructive effect on the health and happiness of students, both physically and mentally, which affects the academic isolation of students.
